NEW BEGINNINGS CHRISTIAN CENTER VALUES:
Christian Character: Christians are called to live a clean, exemplary life that glorifies rather than embarrasses God. Business ethics, personal conduct and morality are foundational issues that must conform to God’s Word. God’s grace is given to us to overcome sin, not to excuse it. All Group leaders must be living in purity. Eph. 4:12-27
Unity: We must endeavor to keep both our unity of the Spirit and to draw from each other, supporting one another in God’s love. We flow with the decisions of church leadership. John 17:20-23, I Cor. 1:10
Faith: Only through an active, aggressive faith are we able to break through limitations and demonic barriers and move in supernatural accomplishments. Hebrews 4:2, 11:1-40
Evangelism: The most significant accomplishment any individual, church or organization can have is to be used by God to bring others into salvation. Matt 18:20, Luke 19:10
Christian Victory: God’s people are to be triumphant both personally and corporately. He has given us the right, the authority, and the empowerment to win. We are able to conquer darkness. Romans 8:37, Eph. 6:13, Luke 10:17-20
Love and Restoration: The Christian’s greatest calling is to reflect God’s love. Love compels us to restore repentant fallen brothers and sisters, forgiving and accepting them back into the family of God. John 14:34-35, Luke 15:1-32
Racial Harmony: Ethnic and racial diversity are enriching aspects of church life, creating a culture of color, respect, acceptance and great joy. Romans 12:3, Colossians 3:11
Prosperity: Prosperity enables Christian to meet their own needs as well as bless others and fund the great worldwide harvest. Deut. 28:1-14, Luke 6:38
Jewish Roots: The New Covenant is an extension of God’s previous covenants. We seek to understand the truth in these early covenants. We believe the Abrahamic Covenant’s declaration that we are to bless Israel. Gen. 12:1-3, Rom. 11
New Beginnings Christian Center Statement of Faith:
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and is true; therefore,
We believe:
In one God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob revealed in the Scriptures as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Matt.
28:19).
In the Son’s virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His complete and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His
ascension to the right hand of God the Father, in His personal return to this earth in power and glory, and that He is now both Lord
and Christ (Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Is. 9:6).
That all have sinned and that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the blood of Christ (Rom. 6:23; I John 1:7-9).
That man is justified by faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works (Eph. 2:8-9).
That the redemptive work of Christ provides healing for the whole man's spirit, soul and body (I Thes. 5:23; II Cor. 5:17).
In water baptism, as a command of the Lord, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:41;
Acts 8:37-38).
The baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate, distinct experience subsequent to salvation providing the enduing of power for life and
service, accompanied by speaking in tongues (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-7).
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling presence, the believer is enabled to live a Godly life which
demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit (John 14:16-17; Gal. 5:22-26).
That the gifts of the Holy Spirit should be practiced in the church today under the guidance of the Pastoral Staff and in a way that is
orderly and sensitive to the flow of worship. (I Cor. 12:7-11).
That a life of good deeds demonstrates God’s love to the world (Romans 2:4).
In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life, and the lost to judgment (John 5:29; Acts 24:15).
That the Bible is the infallible Word of God, given to men by the inspiration of God (II Tim. 3:16; Romans 15:4; I Cor. 10:11).
In the reality of our enemy, Satan. He is a defeated foe (I Peter 5:8; I John 3:8).
In the Church, the body of Christ, as the instrument of focus for God’s purposes in the earth; and that every believer should be
committed and joined to a local expression of the church (I Cor. 1:2; I Cor. 12:27; Eph. 3:8-12).
In laying hold of all the benefits of Jesus Christ’s full redemption by proclaiming the Lord’s death in the participation of the Lord’s
supper (Luke 22:19; I Cor. 11:23).
I agree with the NBCC Values and Statement of Faith. As a group leader, I will not live contrary to these values,
nor promote or teach a philosophy or doctrine that runs counter to this statement. |
